Four water projects competed!

16. June 2009
With a kind donation from our friends Food for Life has completed another 4 water projects in municipal Vrindavan. The wells will provide drinking water to four areas of the town, where approximately 28,000 people live.
For the last 2-3 years (in some areas for 6-7 years) there has not been any water facility in these areas; women had to walk long distance and queue up for hours to fill a pitcher.  Now thanks to members of Enfield Lions Club, London, UK, all these brajabasi residents have   proper facilities. One of the resident commented: "For so long we have straggled for water, now thanks to Food for Life Vrindavan we have water at our doorstep. Our heartfelt thanks go to FFLV and the donors".

Varaha Ghat – no water for 6-7 years. 5,000 people benefited.

Jamuna – struggling for water supplies for 2 years.  3,000 people benefitted.

Gandhi Park and Attala Chungi – 2 booster pumps improved water distribution to the houses. 20,000 people benefitted.
