Today, Fri. 11th, we have completed the New Year Gift Seva. Due to the cold weather Vrindavan’s schools have been closed until last Wednesday. Yesterday we went to three schools in urban Vrindavan and today we went to four village schools. Of the 4500 gift packs made, we still have about 300 left, which will be distributed amongst children of our women self help groups. With this final distribution on behalf of thousands of children who rejoiced by receiving the gifts we warmly thank all those who have donated towards our yearly Gift Festival. All those wonderful smiles are yours and all the happiness of these children will surely find a place in your heart. On behalf of FFLV thank you for making this wonderful happening possible year after year. For complete photographic report of the New Year Gift Festival click here.

Today, January 2nd, we went to village schools, we had with us 24 students from Minnesota University who contributed to the gift festival. We visited 8 schools in four villages and the students gave out 1,200 gift packs. Click here for complete photo report on the second day of the festival.

Dear Friends, pranams from Sri Vrindavan Dham. We are here again. Today is the 30th of Dec packing is done, our SMS children worked hard and full of enthusiasm to prepare 4,500 gift packs. (Click for photos). I must admit that this year I was particularly worried for the funds, we had already done most purchases months ago in order to get good pricing and up to last week we had received only US$ 5,000. As our target was more then the US$ 18,000 of last year, I was really concerned for the outcome.
| Then there was a landslide of mercy and kindness and almost daily I was a receiving messages with donations and pledges. As of now morning of 30th Dec we have passed last year target of $18,000, so far (and I am convinced few more will be coming in) we have reached $ 19,968!
It is so overwhelming... Please click here for Festival distribution dates and timings and if you are in Vrindavan or nearby please come and join us. You will also be able to be part of it by viewing our photo gallery. Daily we will be posting photos of the distribution, and you can share with us the amazing smiles of Vrindavan children. | Above is the list of items with costing, as you can see certain items we only have small quantities, this is because it is impossible to give items which need a fitting size, hence we have purchased these items only for our SMS and SMSS children as we will be distributing them individually in their class rooms. Also as we have received $ 1,836 more than the amount spent on the gifts (see table above), this balance will be used for serving a nice feast to the children as well as buying blankets and mats for the most needy. We will post figures of this later in the week. Please stay tuned! It is happening and you are very much part of it!! On behalf of the brajabasis we extend a warm thank you to all our supporters and friends and we wish you all a New Year full of warmth and positiveness.
Yours Rupa | This year we wish to distribute 4,000 gift packs. Last year we did 3,600 and we are confident that you will help us in reaching our target. One way to help us is to send this link www.fflvrindavan.org to your friends and contacts.
